How ILL Burstable Bandwidth works
Most businesses don't use the same amount of bandwidth every day. Month-end processing, large uploads or sale days push usage up, while normal days need much less.
With burstable bandwidth you commit to a base speed and can go above it when needed, up to an agreed ceiling. You pay for the base plus what you actually burst, instead of paying for the peak all year.

Usually with the 95th percentile method, which ignores short spikes. We'll explain the exact terms in your proposal.
Can we change the base speed later?
Yes. If your normal usage grows, the committed base can be upgraded.
What happens if we hit the burst ceiling?
Traffic is limited at the ceiling. If you reach it often, it's a sign to raise the base or the ceiling.
Is burstable more expensive per Mbps?
Burst usage is often priced higher than the base rate, which is why the base should cover your normal needs.
